My children and I are interested in learning all that we can to prepare our family for whatever my happen in the future. My philosophy has always been to train my children to be as self-sufficient as possible for whatever comes their way. I try to prepare for the worst and hope for the best. Some significant event may or may not happen in my lifetime, but our kids face an uncertain future. I want them to be prepared to take care of themselves and their families and even to pass along the knowledge to their children.
Anything that will help my family be more self-sufficient. We would like to learn more about long-term food storage, hunting and preparing small game, repairing small engines or even basic car repairs, small solar projects, resources for purchasing alternative items for sustainability, anything that would increase our knowledge base and make us less dependent on a ever-insecure infrastructure in our country.
Interested in any method of learning. I just have to be able to do them on the weekend or after 6 in the evening as I am tied up until that time.
I can't remember exactly but I believe as I clicked on a link from a forum or blog that I was looking at, it eventually led to this group.
I am a mother of 4 who is interested in making sure that my family has the skills to survive whatever life throws our way. I am interested in learning all I can about self-sufficient living.
Thank you for this event. My daughter and I enjoyed ourselves and found the food samples to be very good. Will be ordering somethings to try.
