I love walking my dogs - its my favorite form of exercise. I especially enjoy the outdoors and local parks. It's always great meeting others (and their dogs) that share the same interest, concerns and passion for dogs that I do.
I have five dogs - none of my dogs were purchased from a store - Raven and Tas were were gifts my sweet daddy (Raven - for giving him my kidney and Tas so Sean wouldn't be lonely in college). A 16 year old cocker spaniel, Sarah; a 8 year old lab mix, Raven; a 4 year old chocolate lab, Tas; a 4 year old pit mix, Marley (adopted her last year from HSP) and a 3 month old great dane; Layla, who is in the beginning stages of learning to walk on a leash; we rescued her at 5 weeks old as she was going to be "disposed" of due to her color, merle - crazy but true.
I volunteered for 5 years with the Humane Society of Pinellas until February 2012. I am not volunteering at this time, but stay active with animal rights and events at local shelters.
I will only be bringing Marley (the pit mix) with me on the walks. I adopted Marley last year from HSP. She was a shy and frightened dog. After being in our family for a year she has transformed into a different dog - it's absolutely amazing what a little love can do. Marley gets along with all dogs; she maybe a little shy with people at first, but warms up quickly. Marley has been on one pack walk with the group and did great for her first time (at least I think so).
Hi, I'm Lori. I have 5 dogs and I love taking my "kids" on daily walks. I am a early morning riser, so it's just Marley and me heading out the door at 4:30 a.m. it's my peaceful time before the chaos of the day begins.
great, relaxing and breezy walk (thank you Isaac) along Victoria Drive then through downtown Dunedin and back up the Pinellas Trail.
