Midsummer and Working with Elementals Classes

  • Jun 8, 2014 · 3:00 PM
  • House Of Earth And Air

We would like to invite you to a couple of classes to be hosted by Wendy, the High Priestess of the Sstorm of Silver Oak coven in the Springs. If you're interested in attending, please rsvp and we'll send a message with the address.

The  MidSummer class:
 (Beginner to possibly Intermediate)

MidSummer will cover the following: Ideas of Summer, The Sacred Oak, MidSummer bonfires, Marriage omens, Herb lore, Decorations, and recipes.

Working with the Elementals:
 (Intermediate to Advanced class)

Requires some knowledge of terminology and concepts- Timaeus dialog with Plato, Greek concept of Daemon through classical mythology, and a brief understanding that of the meaning of the word Namburbi or as it pertains to the Babylonian and Assyrian ritual ( just enough to understand what I am referring to when I mention this, you do not have to be an expert at what this is- I am not).

This class will explain how the Elementals helps the Witch to advance in the Craft through life times needed to develop, and prepare for transmutation. This is part of the Mystery traditions. This takes the basic Elemental classes one step further.

As expected some of it went over my head. Some of it I didn't get copied down in time. But all in all it was a very enlightening afternoon. I learned a great deal about the more advanced concepts as well more in depth information about some of the basics.
