Boardgames in Creswell #10: Shadows Over Camelot

Come celebrate the 10th game day in nearby Creswell! This free gaming event starts at 2pm. A stack of games to play will be provided, but everyone is encouraged to bring their favorite board game to play too!

The "featured game" for this event will be: Shadows Over Camelot.

In Shadows Over Camelot, each player is a knight of the Round Table, collaborating together against the game itself in order to complete a number of quests before the kingdom falls to its enemies.

But beware, for there may be a traitor among the knights, who is secretly plotting to bring down Camelot from within! Can you discover the traitor, locate the Holy Grail, defeat the Black Knight, and keep the invading nations at bay, all before running out of time?

More information about Shadows Over Camelot is available on the Board Game Geek website at:

Attendees are also encouraged to bring their own games. Many games are introduced to the group by people who bring them, so bring your favorite to introduce and get everyone hooked on!

We usually have the entire Community Center to ourselves, meaning no background noise or crowds. It's a great place for gaming!

The community center is at 99 South 1st Street in Creswell, just off the main street, behind City Hall and the fire station.
Here is a link to a picture of the Creswell Community Center building:

The room we'll be in is the one on the left in that photo.

Snacks are okay. We just need to leave the room as clean as we found it.

There's plenty of free parking in the center's parking lot.

I hope you can join us. Whether you're coming from Eugene, Springfield or Cottage Grove, it's just a short drive to Creswell and join us. It's well worth it!

Bring 'em on!

This was a spectacular game day! It was exciting to see Shadows Over Camelot played with the full compliment of eight players. Things were going so well for so long for the noble knights of the Round Table, but the tide of battle turned very quickly against them, and, unfortunately, ultimately Camelot fell to the forces of villainy. Better luck to our heroes next time!

Thanks to everyone who attended and who brought snacks. The part of me that's powered by tiny chocolate doughnuts is grateful for the fuel.

I hope everyone had a great time, and that we can all meet again in two weeks for another round of fun!
