Boardgames in Creswell #22: Cleanup On Aisle Fun

Creswell Game Day #22 (just ten minutes south of Eugene) is a free gaming event that starts at 2pm.

What will we be playing this time?
Instead of picking a specific "featured game" this time, we'll be trying to catch up on some of the games that we've been talking about, but haven't gotten to yet. For example, many of the dice games from last time never hit the table, and Warhammer 40K has been mentioned, and even a Star Trek VCR game. So, it looks like we have some board game leftovers to clean up this time.

Of course, all sorts of board and card games are still welcome, so bring what you like, and we'll see where the day leads us.

Feel free to post a comment listing any games you're considering bringing. It may help reduce the learning curve (ie: less time explaining, more time playing) if we have an idea of what to expect.

We usually have the entire Community Center to ourselves, meaning no background noise or crowds. It's a great place for gaming!

The community center is at 99 South 1st Street in Creswell, just off the main street, behind City Hall and the fire station.

Here is a link to a picture of the Creswell Community Center building:

The room we'll be in is the one on the left in that photo.

Snacks are okay. We just need to leave the room as clean as we found it.

There's plenty of free parking in the center's parking lot.

I hope you can join us. Whether you're coming from Eugene, Springfield or Cottage Grove, it's just a short drive to Creswell to join us. It's well worth it!

This is a free event, open to all board and card gamers in our area. Donations will be accepted at the event, which help pay for the space and snacks.

Bring 'em on!

We got all that fun cleaned up and waxed the floor. The next time we have fun, it will be slippery, I think. Also, I'm going to call a commander fleeing a doomed capital starship on a shuttlecraft the SuvwI' Maneuver. ;p

Whether you're hauling freight down the freeway, over the sea, or across the stars, there was a game for you at today's meeting! Games that hit the table include: Warhammer, Star Trek Interactive VCR game (which I can honestly say I think played as well today as when it was published back in 1993), Gravwell, Jamaica, Shadow Hunters and Heart Land. The best part though, was that we had over a dozen people present to share the fun and games with! Thanks to everyone for coming!

    1) Fantasy, not 40k. A chainsaw is not an effective weapon. 2) I have a CRT TV but I'll need more than a day to exhume it. I know where the VCR is. 3) Is that a picture of Chuck's spare room?

I also have a set of speakers, which I'll bring if I can find them. And no, that's not a picture of my spare room. Mine's not that clean.

The Atrix lapdock has an 11.6 inch screen. My laptop has a 17 inch screen. :)

I will bring Star Trek if I can wrangle up a VCR. I think I have one in the attic. Does anyone have a CRT TV we can use? I'm not sure VCRs talk to HDTVs properly. I may have to stop by Goodwill.
