Q. Will there be any readings?
A. YES, There will be free 5 minutes readings, please read on....
What is the theme of The Gathering 2? Networking, it is that plain and simple. There are many people who have given up their regular jobs in pursuit of a higher calling. Through their skills, they are able to help many people find or continue along their own journeys. I am talking about the psychics, astrologers, energy workers, councillors, tarot readers and the host of other spiritual workers in our own neighbourhoods. "The Gathering 2" offers you the opportunity to meet some of these people in a unique setting. Through the course of the evening you will receive your free readings. Please use this time to arrange full consultations and help keep these skills available to everyone.
Location: The event will again be held at the haunted Customs House in Hamilton. The event has limited space, once we hit 120 people the doors will be closed. Last year we had 90 from our own meetup group alone. This year we are opening up the event to anyone who wishes to attend.
Psychics, Astrologers, Palm Readers & Tarot Card Readers As mentioned earlier, take advantage of all your free 5 minute readings. If you have some very specific questions please take some time to think about them a few days beforehand. Bring with you any personal items from loved ones passed that you think could enhance your readings.
The Psychomanteum is back... This caused quite a stir last year. One of the oldest forms of scrying, this technique has been used for over 5000 years. Do you dare try it?
Round Table Discussions New this year is the round table discussions. The tentative topics are:

  • Investigating 101 - Hosted by Steve Genier

  • TBA

  • Healing Modalities - Hosted by Sue MacLeod Browning

  • Beyond, The Series - Hosted by Stephen Rumbelow

  • TBA

  • Science, Experiments, Debunking & Locations - Hosted by Steve Genier

We are lucky enough to have Stephen Rumbelow join us for this event. Stephen has not only worked on Hollywood and independent movies but also wrote, produced, directed and narrated a Paranormal and Mystery TV show on the Science Channel for over 3 years. Join Stephen as he discusses and recounts some of the topics covered in the show from Supernatural Predators and Fortean Mysteries through to The Divinci Code and more.
Group Meditation Sessions Gone has the Ouija board. Instead will be group meditation sessions at the site of the tunnel collapse. These sessions are good for all levels. Learn how to meditate in a safe group setting.
Movies, Footage and documentaries We will be showing footage and film from local groups. These will run throughout the night in the attic and will include the much anticipated "Chasing Shadows" from SOPS.
Vendors For the first time Paranormal 101 has invited 4 vendors to attend the event. The 4 are:
This years event has already sparked interest in the US and amongst groups not associated with Meetup. With this is mind we urge you to arrive on time as we have to limit this event to 120. More information will be provided on the
web site. See you there.

Taking into consideration what needed to be done in order to make this event a reality, I think Gary and the volunteers did an excellent job. Keep up the great work guys.

Wow! What a busy night. Only regret is that I didn't get to take part in the discussions etc. Everyone seemed to be very happy and enjoying themselves.

Enjoyed it thoroughly.... would definitely attend future events such as this.

Only criticism is that it was confusing as to where everything was located and the line-ups were long. Thanks for a great evening overall!

Thank you Gary and everyone involved in organizing this event! My friends and I had a fantastic time. I do have to agree with the others who wrote about it being a bit confusing and also the long line-ups, but that is something that can always be worked on for future events. Regardless, it was well worth the money and the travel. I hope to see more events closer to Toronto in the future.

I have to say this event was a huge success!! Although I see some negative feedback here, I know how much work and time went in the the planning of this event in order to provide a robust evening with such talented people, food and even conference bags with free stuff - ALL for 10 bucks!! Where else could you have gotten that? I guess you can't make everyone happy. Thanks Gary for giving us all such a wonderful opportunity to network, share and get to know eachother.

I thought some was good ....however it was very disorganized.Seances should have been held in a quieter area. It was a long wait to the front of a line then the reader would be gone for an hour. The seance we went to the reader was more interested in getting the meditation down stairs so it sucked. The tarot card reader was great and the palm reader was awsome....and Shelley in the back room was amazing......

Thank you Gary for a job well done. It was certainly worth the money. My only complaint is the line ups were extremely long. Some people were asking others to hold their spot while they were in another line up. This was very unfair. One lady just came out from seeing Alan and went directly in to see the lady with the Tarot cards.

I'm looking forward to going to an investigation. I've never been. Again, thank you Gary for putting so much into this.

I had a great time. The past life regression meditation was really interesting. I loved the round table discussions that I sat in on. I ve become really interested in remote viewing now. It was great to catch up with some friends and meet new people. The food was great. Perhaps sign up sheets with times would be beneficial for the psychics so you don't have to actually stand in line for an hour but could come back around your time. A wonderful evening. Thanks Gary and all your team.

I thought the idea of "networking or connecting" was such a great idea. I also loved the sampling of different modalities ie. palmstry, scrying, seances. Thanks Gary.

  • Stacey

It would have been better if the people giving readings were not doing anything else except readings as it contributed to excesscively long lineups and wait times to get a reading done.

    September 27, 2009

  • Kat

I think (imho) that signup sheets are a better idea OR perhaps an info sheet listing all the times of events/psychics and perhaps #'s for the areas would work out well . People didnt seem to know where to lineup as this was not made clear, nor did anyone seem to know what was happening and when.
Other then that the event was great! Round table discussions were excellent and the psychics themselves did a fantastic job. Having vendors is an excellent idea and I love the t-shirts & pens!

Excellent Job.....Garry and everyone that helped out. There was a great variety of mediums, meditations, seances etc.

I found that the meetup was a little confusing, also very noisy. It is hard for psychics to concentrate with so much background noise, and hard for those trying to listen to hear the reading. The content of the meeting was interesting but fractured and disorganized. A facility with smaller rooms and possibly a map of where the rooms were located with the readers and session content would have been helpful.
I realize that these sessions are a work in progress and I was thankful for what the organizers had accomplished. I would be more than happy to assist with next years planning if you would like. If so just let me know.

Too many long line ups. It was a bit confusing and didn't know where to go. An agenda or event planner would of been nice. The volunteers were excellent. There wasn't enough time to do it all and join in the discussions or seances, Should be an all day thing. I found that Hamilton was too far and something more Toronto bound would of been better since a lot of us there that night were closer to Toronto.

Had a great time meeting people and sharing ideas and techniques. Wish I had more time to take in all the things that were happening! Good food too! Thanks Gary and Crew

Great Meetup!! Last one attended was St. Patty's day in TO St. Clair area building near old Canada Packers and people got pics of ORBs & little girl ran around our circle tapping some on shoulder. One angry spirit was yelling which some could hear. G@@d Times!
