High Performance Windows - A Panel of Experts

Join a lively panel discussion on high performance windows. We'll cover some basics, as well as diving into in-depth technical details. Some of the topics we'll explore include frame performance (e.g. whats the impact of a warm edge spacer?), glazing performance (e.g. balancing solar gains and u-value), certifications (e.g. what the process and testing for PH certifications) as well as practical questions around installation concerns, lead times, etc. Bring your burning questions as the panelists will spend a good portion of the time fielding questions from the audience.

Moderator:

Craig Hollow | Sagan + Piechota Architecture

Panelists:

Tom Nedelsky | Santa Cruz Millworks

Mark Christiansen | Wooden Window, Inc.

Thomas Stumpfig | Unilux AG

Can't make this month's PHCA meet @ Pyramid, so figured I'd throw you all the question:

So, I know, I know: we do not have x-ray vision to see into walls, and each house is unique. But still, isn't there some measure that PH retrofitters can use to suggest in general what it might cost a homeowner to retrofit to PH standards? Cost per square foot or whole house square footage? I will be offering a service that transforms single family housing into "shared" housing: privacy suites with shared common spaces. While I'm convincing them about the benefits of redesigning, I want my advertising to also recommend that while the walls are open, they could tighten the house, to PH standard if possible. So how do I give them some sense of what that might cost?
