People often tell me they are unclear how to get access to area waterways and don't know where to find a kayak or even a boat launch. People also express intense curiosity about the job of a Riverkeeper and about what is being done to protect the Bay and its tributaries. This newly formed group meets to explore the Patuxent River corridor and learn about regional ecology and history. We also explore solutions to the natural resource problems facing the State's longest and deepest intrastate waterway that runs through seven urbanizing Counties. The group is hosted by the Patuxent Riverkeeper. Join if you like being outdoors and enjoy physical activity.
