"Bringing Families Back" Community Walk
Details
Join us on October 30th at 9:00 a.m. for our "Bringing Families Back" Community Walk. Our walk is approximately 4 miles, and will start & end at the Cashman Field Center on Las Vegas Blvd.
We will walk through downtown Las Vegas and end back at Cashman Center for a flag ceremony that will open our 3rd Annual "Bringing Families Back" Festival, which will be hosted by the Mayor of Las Vegas, Oscar Goodman. (www.BringingFamiliesBack.org)
During our four-mile walk we will carry flags from all nations, and travel in each of the four directions. This will signify that we are striving to reach all people across the globe. The mission of the Bringing Families Back Foundation is to unite all cultures as one family.
The Bringing Families Back Foundation is a non-profit organization that is focused on helping build strong, stable communities by providing families with the resources and support they need to thrive. "Healthy families are the cornerstone of our communities."
We are honored to announce that Long Walker Harry "Goodwolf" Kindness will be leading our walk again this year. Harry has been involved in many walks and runs around the world to share the message, "All Life Is Sacred."
Harry will also be one of the lead staff carriers on the Southern Route of the Longest Walk 3 to Reverse Diabetes in 2011. We will have a booth set up at our two-day festival where you can meet Harry and learn more about the Longest Walk Across America.
From Feb 14 to July 8, 2011, the Long Walkers will embark on a 5,000+ mile Walk Across America to raise awareness of the devastating effects of diabetes and how it can be reversed by changing our entire diet and lifestyle! (www.LongestWalk2011.org)
All the conclusion of our BFB walk, you are welcome to join us for our 3rd Annual Bringing Families Back Festival, which is a free two-day community event. Our events are designed to bring people together from various backgrounds, cultures, religions, and traditions that exemplify the spirit and diverseness of America, and show Las Vegas as a beacon of light for the world to see.
Over the coming months, we will have similar walks that will also raise awareness to our worldwide BFB Olympic Peace Movement. Our vision is to have thousands of “Long Walkers, Peace Walkers, World Peace Walkers, Gandhi Peace Walkers, Dharma Walkers, Zen Walkers, Peace Pilgrim Walkers, Peace & Unity Walkers, Mixed Unity Walkers, Sunshine Peace Walkers, Olympic Peace Walkers, Freedom Walkers, World Marchers, Peace & Dignity Runners, Indigenous Spirit Runners, World Harmony Runners, and World Unity Walkers” join us during our World "Peace, Dignity & Respect" Unity Walk in Las Vegas and worldwide on July 28, 2012.
