Pentaho, ETL and Big Data

1. Mark Melton (https://twitter.com/markdmelton) from @Pentaho will talk about visual map reduce with Pentaho and how this fits together with Yarn.

2. Diethard Steiner (https://twitter.com/diethardsteiner) will be Creating a Kimball-style data mart with PDI. Learn how to extract data from source system(s) and populate a Kimball-style star schema (dimensions and fact tables) with Pentaho Kettle transformations and jobs.

3. Harris Ward (https://twitter.com/hazamonzo) from @IvyInfoSystems will lighten the evenings ETL centric discussions and show off some more cool CTools plugins. Further details to follow!

4. Matt Casters (https://twitter.com/mattcasters) from @Pentaho ( PDI Architect, creator, founder and legend) will be presenting some of the latest and greatest cool big data POCs. Details to follow!

5. Tom Barber (http://twitter.com/magicaltrout) Demonstrating how Apache OODT's metadata management engine can be used to good effect creating a digital library for BI applications and users.
