Um.... I'd have to say Shogun first. Being a dude, I read a lot of SCI Fi growing up. Shogun was the first book with a true love story. Then the end, shame on James Clavell. Didn't want to read for a while after that. The Dune series. Last of the Breed, and The Walking Drum-Louis Lamour books that arent' westerns. Ann Rice's vampire chronicles. Future Shock by Alvin Toffler. Charles Bukowski - a poet. Mark Twains essays (he was the Dennis Miller of his day). Autobiography of Benji Franklin.
I'm not sure it there is a single book I could pick, there are many. Maybe a few authors. First, Ayn Rand. Then maybe Gore Vidal. Then whatever you guys stuff my head with.
Hi, I be john. I just move here from Charleston, SC. I've been all over and now the kids are grown and gone. This is the start of the proverbial kids are grown now its me time. I always liked to read and now I shall. I looked for a book club and
