Pepperdata Meetup: War Stories from the Hadoop Trenches

Come hear funny and sometimes terrifying war stories about operating Hadoop at scale in production -- rogue user jobs that took over the cluster, tasks that suddenly stopped completing and disks that thrashed for days. There will be free drinks and food, and a chance to win an iPad mini.

We’ll be hosting a panel discussion with distinguished Hadoop veterans such as Allen Wittenauer (Apache Hadoop committer and former LinkedIn), Eric Baldeschwieler (former Hortonworks CEO / CTO), and Todd Nemet (Looker, former Altiscale, ClearStory Data, and Cloudera). They’ll share their war stories and what they learned and our CEO Sean Suchter will moderate the panel.
