There are often opportunities for singers to attend open mics, auditions, jam sessions and karaoke nights but very few where they can get constructive feedback to improve and learn. How often have you got up to do a performance, got off thinking "that was rubbish" and even though your mate says "NO, you where brilliant! Honest!" you know things could have gone better if only you knew how to fix it.

Well the only way we get better is through deliberate practice. This is done by slowing practice down, analysing it, setting specific time bound goals and getting regular feedback from more experienced people and yourself. At this workshop you will be shown how to do this whilst also getting great tips and feedback to help your specific needs.

So whether you are wanting to audition for the next X factor without cracking up in front of the judges, if you are getting ready to gig in public, already perform but feel your performance suffering from your nerves or is lacking that 'special something', this workshop will help you.

You will also be invited to contribute to other singer's feedback to help them understand the audience's point of view or to share your experiences so others can benefit.

This workshop is a safe and productive environment to develop your performance or experiment with new ideas.

Learn to:

*Feel confident on stage and in front of an audience

*Develop a rapport with your audience

*Cope with the 'nerves' and 'stress'

*Access the 'diva/o' within to put on a hypnotic performance

*Discover your USP

*Walk off stage feeling happy with your performance

*Feel comfortable singing into a microphone and instructing the sound person on how you like your sound

*Plus much more.

You can attend either to perform or to watch and learn from other people's performances.

There will be a brief talk on performance related issues at the start of each workshop. You will receive verbal and written feedback to take away with you and help you improve.

Performers bring 1 song: Performances need to be self accompanied, to a backing track or a cappella (no backing).

You are also welcome to bring an accompanist with you if they don't mind the hanging around.

Fees: £24 to perform (only 8 places available) and £10 to observe

"Unleash the performer within!

Find joy, inspiration and satisfaction in your performances." Line Hilton
