What is the Samba Summit

The Samba Summit is a night to celebrate a unique carnavale community within Western Australia, which has been emerging over the last 23 years, culminating in 6 community-drumming groups from Joondalup to Margaret River.

Brazilian Street-Carnaval is now a massive worldwide phenomenon, with millions of fans across the world and over 500 Brazilian inspired percussion groups across Europe, America and Asia.

Western Australia boasts the largest Brazilian inspired percussion community in Australia with a huge range of drummers and dancers of ages 6 - 81 years old.

All of these different drumming groups can be found at festivals, carnivals, parades, fairs, weddings, parties and many more, all year round.

This event will be the first in Western Australia to bring all the groups together to witness an explosive display of rhythm, dance, light’s, joy and entertainment.

The Drum Hall

A venue fitted for an unforgettable night of performances.
Not only does The Drum Hall have DJ's all night and a variety of performers, but you won't just find them on the stage.
The night will come alive as the performers appear on the dance floor and around the room.

The Rudiment Room

Come on into the Samba Summit.
The Rudiment room will take you back to basics. There will be stalls, drinks, food and more.

The Splash Bar

Be sure to bring some cash for the splash bar!!
A small cymbal, but a big Bar.
There will be wine, beer and the brazilian favourite Caipirinha cocktail available .
