I'd like to share work with my peers.
Short stories for now and I'd like to aim for novels in the future.
I've always read voraciously and went back to university as a mature-age student to obtain a BA, with a major in English of course. I've always scribbled a bit, but now I'd like to commit more seriously to writing and feel I could add my life experience to an already interesting group of people.
I'm happy with either option.
The number of undeveloped ideas whirling around in my head is starting to worry me, so I'm here to share some ideas with like-minded people and work out where to start with this writing caper.
I arrived about one hour early to have dinner and I must say it's one of the better decisions I've made lately. The food and service were fabulous and I got to meet and enjoy my meal with Deb, another newbie like myself. Things continued to get better as everyone arrived and settled into a loosely organised group discussion around writing. There were some readings by a couple of brave volunteers and it was wonderful to see how supportive and encouraging people were. This is a very friendly and welcoming group of people and I went home at the end of the evening feeling refreshed and inspired. I'll be back next time for sure.
