LITTLE GALE GUMBO by Erika Marks - SOUTH HILLS - Juniper Grill

I did not hear any other suggestions for a place, so we are going to be at Juniper Grill this month.

*At this meetup Peggy is collecting slippers & for summer-weight bed clothing donations for women living in the shelter at the Women's Center of Pittsburgh.

* Contact myself or Kristy DeCola to help with the Literary Tea!

*Please Bring a Chick Lit book suggestion if you have one!

Not sure what to bring?  A chick lit book that is out in Paperback. Here is the definition of Chick Lit: Chick lit is genre fiction within women's fiction which addresses issues of modern women often humorously and lightheartedly***  Sometimes we do slightly deeper books than this, but we always do women's fiction that's not too heavy so if you don't have time to read it you can still come & enjoy yourself.

Little Gale Gumbo by Erika Marks

When Camille and her two teenage daughters fled New Orleans for the island of Little Gale off the coast of Maine, the islanders were initially more suspicious than welcoming. Twenty-five years later, Camille's Creole restaurant, The Little Gale Gumbo Café, has become an island staple-as has the legacy of her romance with islander Ben Haskell. Camille and Ben, along with their children, created a new family unit with a seemingly unbreakable bond. But when Ben is found unconscious in his home, next to the body of Camille's estranged husband, old secrets and suspicions reemerge, and the family must reunite to hope for Ben's survival. But as revelations come to the surface, so do long-held secrets that will test the limits and definitions of family.

I got a reservation for 15 on the patio at Stonepepper Grill on 19 in the south hills for August 7th.
They are the only other place that will reserve outdoor besides juniper. They were already booked for today a month ago, that's why I did juniper again.

We will be back at al's in september.

Ran into the same issues that you did with places. Juniper Grill sounds great.

Lots of places have outdoor seating, but they either don't take reservations or can't fit 15 or don't do separate checks.
Let me know if you find a place!
I booked Juniper Grill just in case.

Houlihans, StonePepper, Bravo & Atria's all no reservations.

Just so everyone knows, because I just requested this from the Carnegie Library system, there are only 5 copies available from them. 3 are out already, I requested 1 copy, so there is 1 copy left. I'm not sure of other library systems, but just wanted to let people know about this.
