April JavaScript Meetup - Project Night & Lightning Talks

** This is a meetup co-organized with PhillyJS and Ember.js Philly. **

Come work on your projects with lots of other cool JavaScript developers! We'll kick off the night with lightning talks to get us warmed up before open project time.  Lightning talks are SHORT (~5minute) talks about a project you've done, a problem you solved, a quick demo, etc. During open project hours, we'll have a "Beginner's Corner" and more experienced developers can volunteer to help level up those new to our community.

If you'd like to do a lightning talk, the topics should obviously surround JavaScript, but are flexible.  For example, you could talk about something new you heard about and want to learn more, you could talk about a seemingly insurmountable problem you need to figure out, or you could talk about some cool thing you did and just want to share.  If you'd like to talk, comment on the meetup to sign up, send us a message, or mention @phillyjsdev on Twitter (which reminds us: follow @phillyjsdev!)

Doors open at 6pm, Lightning talks start at 6:30.

Rogues Gallery has tasty food and beverage available for purchase. If you or your company would like to sponsor a round of drinks or some appetizers, message one of the organizers (James or Pam)!

Would love to make this Meetup, but Thursday is generally a bad day for me. Oh well...

Had a great time talking about the different JavaScript projects I was involved with and other people's projects. Rogue's was a great host, with great food and drinks.

Tom, thanks for the presentation and the post for your presentation.

I liked the location in Center City --though a quieter place would be nicer. There's a bar, Bonner's, on 23rd that another meetup I was in used. That was quieter but then, we didn't meet on a Thursday night before musicians performed.

I can give a Lightning talk next time as I mentioned to James.

We have a bit more interest than initially planned. The space is going to be a little tight, so please we've limited RSVP's to 35. If we have enough people join the wait list we'll work to find a bigger venue. I'm excited for this one!

Hi Brandon! If you'd like to come, it's an informal project night, so no worries if you're late!

Darn, I have already signed up for another workshop that same night! Hopefully, I can make the one in May!
