JavaScript Fundamentals mini-workshop
Details
A two-ish hour whirlwind tour to help you get up to speed with JavaScript programming fundamentals. $5 helps guarantee your spot (to make sure those who register come and to cover future meetup expenses), but if money is at all an issue, please message the organizers.
A laptop is a good idea, although you might be able to make it without it. The space is an old church, so there likely won't be tables, so emphasis on the "lap" of laptop. This is our first one of these, so please be understanding!
Agenda
6:00 Arrive, food from SEER Interactive (thanks, SEER!)
6:30 Workshop begins (on the dot!) Material covered:
-
Variables and data types
-
Functions and scope
-
Object literals and the DOM
8:30 Workshop ends
You must be a member of the JavaScript Developers meetup to attend.
If you'd like to volunteer as a teaching assistant and help JavaScript in Philadelphia, sign up here. Do NOT register here, once you're signed up and confirmed via the form, I (Pam) will register you manually.
Big thanks to our sponsor, SEER Interactive, who will be providing space and food!
P.S. The new editor in meetup isn't very link friendly -- signup here to volunteer to help at the workshop: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1kznPh3c9EMG45agf3hkLRx1EwRzNQniTewRwhtnY-is/viewform
