Welcome to Philly Knits! Our resource website, [PhillyKnits.org](http://www.phillyknits.org/), is designed to help beginners learn how to knit, crochet, etc, as well as to provide information about other groups, events, and stores (most of whom provide lessons). All skill levels from beginner to expert are welcome to our meetups.
In addition:
- Our members are encouraged to organize and post their own meetups with us. Libraries, senior centers, recreational centers, and cafes are great places to meet.
- We also post requests for "volunteers" for educational institutions, charities, artistic projects, local museums, libraries, and rehabilitation facilities.
- Our meetups are mainly located in the city of Philadelphia, but we do make exceptions for nearby counties, as long as the calendar doesn't get too crowded.
