The PIFF 6 Screenplay Workshop

Fundamentals of Storytelling : An introduction to the 8-week, intensive workshop delving into key elements of story and storytelling to help you create the foundation for your screenplay. Explore your purpose for writing and pinpoint a singular, authentic voice; tap into your unique vision as a writer and find what makes your voice important and relevant to audiences. Participants will use this basis to springboard into the formulation of what makes stories “work.” We designed this class to challenge and inspire. One-on-one sessions are available to elicit insights into the nature of Conflict, and the reason for Character. Design your own premise, weave conflict through character, plot and theme, and finally, develop the core events that drive your story through The Four C's: Catalyst, Crisis, Climax, and Conclusion. Come prepared with your ideas and be willing to draw ink (or lead) and write.
