This group is a teaching group located at The Art Institute of Philadelphia. It concerns how to use Layers to design websites. Along the way, we cover CSS-3 but as it is written for you by Expression Web (no coding is needed!) The course is Microsoft Expression Web 4.0 oriented and that is for PCs only. It is a two evening course. Everything shown is 100% Html 5 and CSS 3 compliant but is totally unique. It liberates you from "container divs" and "nested div's in container divs"... forever.
The course is for designers who wish to be empowered to create their own websites without necessarily having to outsource it to coders for Html and CSS. We will show you drag-n-drop webpage design where you can pretty much design webpages similarly to how you do for print in InDesign and the techniques are 3 dimensional. These techniques bring the joy back to web design, make it easy to handle lots of changes requested by clients easily and quickly , enable designers to see immediately how their designs will look in all the browsers... right away! and "play" with web design rather than struggle with it. You no longer have to fuss with those pesky container-div-nested-div page structures at all and spend hours fussing to make them work.
Nothing to buy! Nothing being sold. Expression Web 4 is a FREE download from Microsoft but only for PCs (not Macs). This is NOT using tables! Along the way, we will show you lots about CSS that is not complicated and no-coding-needed and nice things like using Google Webfonts.

Takes place at The Art Institute of Phila, Room 302, Annex Building, 1610 Chestnut Street, Phila., PA - Sept 5th (Thursday) and Sept 12th (Thursday) 6:00pm to 8:30pm each evening, $5.00/per evening. You must RSVP "Yes" to attend. Space is limited.
