I have lived and worked around Africa and Asia and traveled in Europe. There is so much more of the world to see. I have seen most of the US and Canada but not the Pacific NorthWest.
Local hikes- the group has great ideas which you can do often. I want the chance to travel with people around the country and the world. I am single, have 2 teenage daughters and as they grow into their lives, I am having more time in mine.
I teach at West Chester (GIS- not the most interesting party talk.) I have a 7-mth Choco Lab who goes to work and hikes with me. I have fruit trees and a garden and lots of leftover stuff that does not get eaten and I am a lousy cook- my kids eat PBJ
Montages have less detail but do convey the message- I have camped in Africa, hiked parts of the Applachian trail, portaged in Canada, rode elephants in Thailand. Lots of pretentious outdoorsy words. I like to go out with fun people- that's all.
I want to "get out" and meet like-minded people who like to explore the world, including their backyard. It helps to have people around who can suggest places. I am a Geographer and want the chance to use my skills- or at least make sure they work!
The TerraMar-tians are such a mix of friendly, interesting people. The trip was well organized and we had a good time.
