Adventures in Government Content Strategy

Details
When the City of Philadelphia started redesigning its municipal website, the mission seemed clear: Meet user needs with simple, effective digital content and services. But when it came time to move content, the dark heart of the challenge emerged. Join Erin Abler, the City's first Content Designer, as she recounts hard-fought lessons about collaboration and cultural change in the face of decentralized publishing, diverse stakeholders, and chronically unmet user needs.
