F# Hands-On Labs

Are you a rank F# beginner, experienced perhaps with C# or VB .NET programming and wanting to introduce yourself to this new language and to functional programming in general? Or perhaps you're a seasoned Scala, Haskell or Clojure programmer interested in seeing how F# compares to these? Or maybe you've been doing some F# coding and are just interested in practicing your skills and sharing insights with other like-minded Sharpers.

Then come on down to our new series of Hands-On F# Coding Labs. We'll start out by working as a group through several of the Dojo exercises up on the c4fsharp.com web site. All experience levels are welcome and encouraged to attend. The motto is "Let no Sharper be left behind!" and so if you are new to this, have no fear; we will help you move forward at whatever pace you are most comfortable with. The group Dojo has proven to be an excellent way for programmers of all talents and experience levels to advance their skills, share their knowledge and have fun in the process.

A2C Consulting is excited to be sponsoring this series and will have refreshments for us as we roll up our sleeves and dig in. The sessions will start at 5:30, but feel free to drop in at any point. Bring a laptop and we'll help get you up and running with everything you need. Linux, Mac and Windows all have F# development options, so work in whatever platform you are comfortable with.
