Details

About the Tour: A tour of the Athenaeum, including a large-scale archivally-safe scanner and large-scale printers. Come see the juxtaposition of the old National Historic Building with the new technology.

This will be a very different tour from the last. The workings aren't as high-tech, but it should offer a nice contrast to the very tech-heavy NMAJH interactives and touchscreens. It's a nice reminder that this group is about all forms of technology (not just the elaborate) and how they can be best utilized by museums.

About the Athenaeum: http://www.philaathen... (http://www.philaathenaeum.org/)

"The Athenaeum is a member supported, not-for-profit, special collections library founded in 1814 to collect materials 'connected with the history and antiquities of America, and the useful arts, and generally to disseminate useful'. " Hope to see you all there! Cecilia
