Guest Speaker

Andrea Michalek is a Philly-based serial entrepreneur with a passion for building technology solutions that interface between large amounts of data and the people who use them. She has led the technology and teams behind dozens of high-volume, high-availability systems. Her latest venture Plum Analytics, a startup she founded in January 2012, was recently sold to EBSCO.

Spotlight Company by Project Liberty

Setvi (http://www.setvi.com/) - Sohel Khan, Josh David

The SETVI Platform creates a more efficient sales process, which enables you to close more deals and increase sales revenue. The SETVI™ Platform is a software-as-a-service mobile sales enablement tool. SETVI enables managers to distribute, manage, and control digital content instantly, from one cloud-based system. Sales reps create unique presentations on-the-fly by combining dynamic content on their mobile devices. They share web-based presentations. Sales reps are notified each time their prospects view the web presentation and for how long. SETVI provides leaders with sales analytics on the entire process.

Spor (http://www.sporchargers.com/) - Jason Browne, David Hunt

Spor is a battery charger that passively recharges itself via the sun. It has been made to deliver power to mobile devices like iPhones, Androids, tablets, GoPro camera's, GPS systems, and more. We've designed Spor to be simple and modular, enabling scalability of the product and efficient integration into a larger product ecosystem. What we're doing is distributing energy to people who need to charge their mobile devices. The implications are significant in both developed and developing countries and we're here to spread the power.

Rescufy (http://rescufy.com) - Sheree Revilla, Dave Edwards

Rescufy was created by David and Rachel Edwards who were inspired by their son, Sammy, to simplify the standard anaphylaxis action plan. Sammy has a life threatening tree nut allergy. With Rescufy they would have a simple, fast, and reliable tool to streamline getting help in the event of anaphylaxis. Rescufy was chosen by 10 venture capitalists as the top app at the UPstart AppITUP 2013 Competition, over some 185 entries.

Three companies present each month after our guest speaker. Apply here (https://phillynewtech.seamlessdocs.com/f/ApplyToDemo) to demo at Philly New Tech Meetup.
