Spotlight Company

Introduction from Danny Lopez, British Consul General, New York and Director General for UK Trade & Investment USA.

The GREAT Tech Awards is helping sponsor this month's Philly New Technology Meetup. The awards encourage high growth technology companies in the US to select the UK as a place where they can set up and grow their businesses. The competition is run by UK Trade & Investment (UKTI) and the British Consulate General New York.

Blippar - Lisa Hu, Alana Kalin

Blippar is a revolutionary mobile platform using image recognition tech and game-changing new content medium that turns physical imagery, print or products into instantaneous, interactive digital experiences. Since Blippar has the capacity to trigger anything a phone can do, users can ‘blipp’ an image to unlock hidden content – such as videos, coupons, recipes and sweepstakes – or actively engage with a brand by playing a game, posing with celebrities, or virtually trying on products.

Company Demo

Eventuosity - Justin Panzer, Doug Panzer

Eventuosity is a scalable web and mobile application for managing the people and resources associated with events.  From trade show attendance to social club outings, eventuosity gives enterprise, professional and consumer users a single tool to Plan Anything by Planning For Everything. It's one tool to address their needs vs. those of associations producing events on a macro level.

Company Demo

RightCare Solutions -  Mrinal Bhasker

RightCare Solutions has developed an evidence-based technology that empowers nurses, discharge planners, and case managers to revolutionize the discharge planning process. Their Discharge Decision Support System, D2S2, enables hospitals, insurers, and homecare agencies to improve the quality of care for patients while alleviating the devastating toll that 30-day readmissions exact on the healthcare system. Based on a decade of research conducted at the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing, the D2S2 platform enables continuous point-of-care decision support, optimizes workflow, and dramatically improves post-acute care transitions.
