Welcome, Philadelphia Area Caving Explorers!

Caving. Spelunking. Underground exploration. Whatever you want to call it, that's what we do. And if you like the outdoors, have a bit of an adventurous spirit, and enjoy discovering ancient relics as well as artifacts, you might like caving too.

We're called, "The Philadelphia Caving Exploration Meetup Group," and we're referring all our members over to another group called, "The Philadelphia Grotto," which has been a local chapter of the National Speleological Society (NSS) since 1947. As a group they try to study, explore, and conserve cave and karst resources. Their members include students and teachers, retirees and young professionals, singles and couples. Their interests include:

C = Conservation
A = Adventure
V = Vacations
E = Education
S = Safety

So if you like to escape to the outdoors, learn new things, observe the beauty of nature, get a little exercise, meet new people, go exploring, have a little fun, and help to conserve our natural resources, please consider joining their group.
