RSVP to attend Philly Crafted: Tech Showcase!

50onRed's Philly Crafted: Tech Showcase is back for another evening featuring creative presentations from local tech innovators. The event is set to kick off at our Cira Centre office, right next to Amtrak's 30th Street Station.

We'll have plenty of beer and snacks around for you to enjoy during the presentations, and there will be a short Q&A afterwards to provide valuable feedback for your peers. Philly Crafted: Tech Showcases are open to the public, so RSVP to attend, network, and hear about these cool tech projects:

Amanda Delcore, Environmental Consultant, Open Source Headlamp for Anywhere Implementation
Amanda is an environmental consultant with a background in Physics and a graduate degree in Sustainable Engineering with a technical focus in Electrical engineering. Her project uses open-source hardware licensing to provide the materials and design files for a customizable, resilient headlamp for builders who are either on or off the grid.

Steve Dorazio, Lead Software Engineer at 50onRed, Draft Tracker Pro
Steve works on a wide variety of solutions and new features for 50onRed's cutting-edge tech products. His Android app, Draft Tracker Pro, allows users to track and manage all of their fantasy football drafts across leagues, all in one app. Steve will discuss how the app works and some of the technical details and challenges he faced during development.

Orkan Telhan & Yasmin Kafai, Asst Professor of Fine Arts and Professor of Learning Sciences at University of Pennsylvania, Creative Crafts Design
Orkan and Yasmin's three projects—Connected Messages, Ecrafting, and Cirkits—bring together craft design and collective making and learning. Their presentation will dissect the changing nature of collective authorship, the impact of the connected maker culture, and crowd sourcing as a model for the producing and disseminating creative technologies.
