Continuous Integration for Mobile: A Guided Tour

  • Apr 15, 2014 · 6:00 PM
  • The Comcast Center

Native mobile development presents unique challenges for building a Continuous Integration (CI) process. Matt Rein and Andy Obusek, mobile engineers at AWeber Communications, will walkthrough their team’s on-going journey in continuous integration for Android and iOS projects.

Find out how their team:

* Ensures consistent code style.

* Automates unit and integration tests.

* Performs static code analysis.

* Selects the mobile devices on which to run tests.

* Displays their CI job status in an at-a-glance dashboard.

* Distributes builds for testing.

They'll also cover what's next on their roadmap for continuously improving their process.

Please be sure to RSVP with your full first and last name. Comcast requires your full name to get into the building.

Matt Rein is a professional Android developer with several apps in the Google Play Store.  He is currently living the #AWeberLife as an engineer at AWeber Communications.  Matt has recently been learning to express himself in new ways by creating dummy-data servers for his apps with node.js and beefing up his android projects with Gradle based build scripts.  When he puts his laptop down, he likes to play drums, ping pong, and all things RC.

Andy Obusek is an iOS engineer with several apps in the App Store and 10 years experience as a software development professional. He is currently living the #AWeberLife as an engineer at AWeber Communications.  He especially hates debugging, and is always looking for new ways to build quality into his software from the start.  When he puts his laptop down, he likes to play guitar, hang out with his son, and be outside.
