Game Jam Time

  • September 4, 2014 · 7:00 PM
  • This location is shown only to members

This week’s jam is being hosted by Three Rings Design. The theme will be revealed Thursday night.

Once a month, Cipher Prime hosts a Game Jam during Dev Night. Each game jam has its own theme, which is decided upon and announced that week. Everyone has two weeks to create a game for the jam. We accept both analog and digital games and recommend you don’t spend more than 12hrs on a jam.

Winners will be voted on and prizes will be awarded at the Showcase.

First Prize – Commemorative Victory Plaque, $30 Steam Gift Card, SEGA Schwag*

Second Prize – $15 Steam Gift Card, SEGA Schwag*

Third Prize –  SEGA Schwag*

* Awesome Sonic Fleece Hats, iPhone cases & MORE!

Bonus prizes revealed at the Showcase!

We average about 30-50 people a meeting so the RSVP number is never a good indicator of attendance. That being said please do if you're new so we can give you a proper run down of the location and introduction to everyone.

Hey all! I'm another Brandon. I have a little knowledge in all areas of game development (before and after extensive research). I am software developer by day, but really don't _enjoy_ coding. I have been playing music and drawing since a young age. I want to meet some local people who are passionate about making games!

Shit. Today was the meet up. You'll have to excuse me for not coming... You see, I found out about this 2 hours after it started.

Brandon, I'm a graphic designer too! I won't be there this week, but I'll be there next for sure. Feel free to ask me any questions you have.

Hey guys I'm a graphic designer with illustration skills, is there anything I should read up on to be ready and useful? I'm interested in game design but don't now anything about it.

Probably the easiest way to figure out how you can fit in is to do a few game jams. A designer or artist is always needed. Also is a great way to network. Other way is to come by and visit us at dev night. Its very casual and friendly ;-)

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.

Henry, started Reno Motorcycle Riders
