AWAKEN YOUR INNER PHILOSOPHER!

Everyone has an "inner philosopher" waiting to express itself. Whether your interest in philosophy is formal or casual, this group is for philosophy lovers of all persuasions (such as): Platonists or Aristotelians. Laissez-faire Randians or radical socialists. Mystics or scientific naturalists. Existentialists or....other existentialists. Philosophy is more than profoundly stimulating to the intellect, it can be just plain fun! Each meeting will have a lead question, topic, or philosophical quotation to get the conversation off to a running start. However, the meetings will not be highly structured and are designed to go with the flow of the dialogue and of the personalities in the group. We'll meet mostly at restaurants, cafes, and pubs and--when the topic and mood dictates--in classroom or seminar-like settings as well.

Whether to join this meetup depends on what you're looking for. I didn't want to have to read a text because I have too much to read already. ...

“I'm interested in the topic of freedom. Politically, spiritually -it's really everywhere. I hope to gather more of a base on the 'philosophy' accumulated on the subject. Maybe learn something, maybe teach something - who knows?”

“I love a good discussion, to talk or not to talk, that is the question! What do you have to say?”
