Topic: An Introduction to Apache HBase, MapR Tables, and Security.

Abstract: Use Apache HBase when you need random, realtime read/write access to your Big Data. The project's goal is the hosting of very large tables -- billions of rows X millions of columns -- atop clusters of commodity hardware.  This session will cover the basics of HBase,  an introduction to MapR tables, and a discussion of security concerns.

Speaker Bio: Jeremy Walsh is a Solutions Architect at MapR, where he helps customers design cutting edge solutions for storing and processing big data.  He has over 15 years of industry experience, working with a wide range of customers and technologies.
