All about Open Source with The Fedora Project's Robyn Bergeron

Details

Ever wonder how open source software works? How does community innovation become an enterprise ready project? What's a good way to get involved?

Specifically with Red Hat, what's the relationship between Fedora, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, and CentOS? What is the process behind those operating systems? What does the future hold?

Come join us to hear Robyn Bergeron discuss that and more on 9/17 at the Insight Headquarters: 6820 S Harl Avenue Tempe, AZ 85283, Tempe, AZ .

Robyn has been the Fedora Project Leader at Red Hat. (Some abbreviate this title to simply be FPL). Before that, she was the Fedora Program Manager. In English, this means she was the Schedule Mastah for Fedora the Product (not Fedora the Project) - i.e., the distribution itself. She also wrangled features for each release, helped out with bug tracking and zapping, and helped drive (or sometimes tear down) processes to make things easier and better in Fedora. Robyn has also been involved with numerous teams in Fedora over the years, including being Marketing team lead for Fedora's community driven marketing activities, the Cloud SIG wrangler, and put together FUDCon in Tempe in 2011.
