    Hi all,

Sorry for making you wait for recorded video. We realized that the voice was not clear and loud enough; therefore we are now retaking the video. I will upload that in a day or two. Please stay tuned...

Great meetup. Per the handout, the recommended browsers for monaca.mobi are Chrome and Safari. I set up an account at Monaca.mobi and like the preview of code results on a virtual phone: 1.click "Dashboard," 2."Launch IDE," 3.Close the "welcome," then 4.click "Preview." Have forwarded the info to a friend.

I'm not really sure what this meetup is about. Monaca as a dev platform? AngularJS? Topcoat? I recommend an agenda so we know where we're going. Oh, and booze. Thanks!

Ugh! Had a last minute change in plans, and can't make it to the city tonight in time. Freeing up my spot for someone else.

Is food or drink provided? Or we'd better grab some food before 6?

There's a small room for bicycle parking. Please enter the front door, and park inside.

    November 25, 2013

  • Bosco S.

Is there secure bicycle parking - i.e., can I bring my bike into the meeting space?

    Hi all,

Here's good news - I can borrow a video cam for recording. So, we will record the workshop and upload after edit.

As for the preparation, we will suggest you to use a free cloud-based editor for Cordova. So basically you don't need to install something by yourself. However if you already have PhoneGap development environment inside your computer, that is totally fine!

Just FYI, me too - I am over in the UK, but would definitely like to see this combo in action if there are any plans to either record / share slides/code etc??

Should I have anything installed on my PC before I arrive? I have only used phonegap build previously.
    Thanks

Will we be able to deploy to an iphone?

    November 18, 2013

    • John T.

Not unless you have a rooted iPhone or a developer key through developer.apple.com (it costs money).

      November 24, 2013

  • Tony B.

I'm on the waitlist, would love to attend

We will use PhoneGap 2.9 since it is considered the most stable. However, PhoneGap version difference will not affect your JavaScript and HTML5 code, since the major difference is the internal structure in native code.

    November 16, 2013

    • Steve G.

3.0 is considered the most stable! not 2.9 :P

      November 21, 2013

  • Masa T.

For the video recording, yes we would like to. However the voice may not be so clear as we don't have professional hardware. As for the iPhone deployment, we will tell how to deploy to app market.

I'm looking forward to this event (especially Angular+Topcoat), and just to clarify: will we be using PhoneGap 3.0?
