I am developing a next generation cloud based mobile app based on most abruptive technologies and innovative business model. This article discussed PhoneGap and Appcelerator Titanium (http://www.universalmind.com/mindshare/entry/mobile-html5-phonegap-vs-appcelerator-titanium). What you think – what cool mobile apps have you developed using what tools? PhoneGap and Appcelerator Titanium are both very popular open-source JavaScript frameworks for packaging and deploying mobile applications. ...However, there are enough significant differences
    PhoneGap:
    • JavaScript API that provides access to Native Functions
    • Supports HTML5/CSS3
    • Supports Web Standards & Re-use Across Enterprise Apps
    • Supports DOM based JavaScript Libraries/Frameworks
    • Supports the most platforms
    Appcelerator Titanium:
    • JavaScript API that provides access to Native Functions
    • Compiles to Native Code
    • Could provide better performance.

Hi everyone. I'm having tons of problems with the iOS security certificate. I've had trouble with getting the .p12 file to export and when I do get it, it never works. Can anyone help me with either documentation or direct help. Please message me at jeremy @ ballparkwaiter.com. Thank You.

I would LOVE an event dedicated to "Successful Phonegap applications and their architectures". I have spent a lot of time trying out various js frameworks - marionette, backbone aura, angular, etc. and ended up building my own custom framework on top of backbone. It would be very useful to hear more about how companies with successful HTML5+Phonegap apps solved the following types of issues: 1. Persistent offline storage (beyond localstorage or indexedDB which are limited to 5MB); 2. Memory management. Those are the two areas with the least amount of online clarity, even on the phonegap site itself. Thanks!!! I guarantee if you make such an event there will be a waiting list a mile long.

Hi all, I recently returned to Colorado so I can't make this meetup but I am currently teaching PhoneGap in my Mobile Apps course. Would it be possible to get a recording of this meetup? Also, can anyone steer me to good tutorials and videos on intro PhoneGap and/or real life use cases? Thanks

    August 25, 2012

    • Giacomo B.

there should be a couple feature showcase apps available on the market. In addition, inside the documentation there are already "real-life" examples that should make it very easy.

I will try to get this meetup recorded and posted on Youtube.
