Through a series of fun, interactive exercises, learn how to properly control exposure and shoot in manual so that you can get the images you want the way you want them. Learn, practice, then share your experiences.
At the end of the course you will know how to use your camera in full manual mode so you can get more professional looking images.
On this course you will learn about:
• Aperture – what is it, how to use e.g. how to get blurred backgrounds

• ISO – what is it, what to do in low light situations

• Metering – how your camera makes decisions about light.
• Problem solving – how to deal with tricky situations.
You’ll learn the basics, then practice using structured exercises, then some free practice. Then share images and discuss experiences.
Stage 1: Meet at the workshop space learn about exposure through interactive photo based exercises. Have pizza lunch.
Stage 2: Go out and practice what you've learned using structured assignments that I will give you.
Stage 3. Back to the workshop space to share experiences.
After the workshop I'll give you access to a pdf document which covers all the things you learned in the course, plus recommendations for additional reading.
Gear: For this course you will need a camera that has full manual control such as a DSLR or a high end point and shoot. In terms of lenses - bring what you have - if you are unsure I'm happy to advise.

Please note: 3 people will be the minimum number for workshops events as I have to book the space for the workshop. If you RSVP then please attend - try not to just drop out a day before as it may lead to the cancellation of the workshop if the number gets below 3.
