Camera basics: take control of your photography
Take control of your photography by learning how to make the best of your camera and lenses. Through interactive, photograph based exercises you will discover:

how to use functions like histograms and exposure compensation effectively

how your camera light meter works, why it’s not always right, and what to do if it isn’t
-
the best lenses for different situations, and why
-
how your camera sensor may limit what you do with your camera
-
What is RAW, how is it different from JPG and when is good to use it
If you are confused by many of the functions of your camera and how to use them, or not sure of the differences between different camera bodies and lenses, then this course is for you.
The course will cover the common functions on most cameras so you will not only understand them, but are actively able to use them when taking photographs or understand them when buying new equipment.
Course formation:
· Indoor workshop using interactive activities to explain the concepts.
· Go out and practice using some of the functions using specially designed, structured exercises
· Back indoors to discuss and share your experiences
Gear: Any camera is OK but you will need a dslr or mirrorless camera to do the practice exercises outside.

Duration: 5-6 hours
Price: ¥5500. Price includes hot and cold drinks, and pizza lunch.
Please note: 3 people will be the minimum number for workshops events as I have to book the space for the workshop. If you RSVP then please attend - try not to just drop out a day before as it may lead to the cancellation of the workshop if the number gets below 3.
