Creating Sophisticated Images with Essdras M. Suarez

Join Pulitzer Prize winning photojournalist photographer Essdras M. Suarez for a small group,
hands-on workshop. This workshop will improve your skills of composition and overall image quality as we discuss composition, layering, points of entry, learning how to anticipate decisive moments as well as how to position yourself for the best shots.

Essdras will be discussing images, including attendees images, and dissecting them into their most basic components. Maximum of 12 people for personalized attention and critique.

Attendees will be given instructions on sending up to 6 images to Essdras, who will choose some for discussion. We will review them as a class keeping the image's authors anonymous.

You will learn to react to what is in front of you and to make the most out of any given situation. “As a photojournalist I don’t have the luxury of doing much post production work on my images. Therefore I have to make it count when things are happening.”

Essdras Suarez Bio: Nationally Essdras Suarez has covered stories such as the Columbine shooting and space shuttle Columbia disaster for the Boston Globe. Internationally he has photographed in Sudan, Egypt, Laos, Cambodia, Colombia, Cuba, Venezuela, Brazil, Russia, Panama, Haiti, Guatemala, El Salvador, Mexico, Costa Rica, Honduras, Dominican Republic, Indonesia, Spain, France, Israel, Iraq, Kuwait, China, Turkey, Norway and Belarus and Romania.
