Madison Photography Group Flick Page

For those of you that did not make it to the monthly December meeting, one of the things that we talked about was our new flickr group. I now realize that another group already existed, but we are in the process of consolidating that group into this one.

I wanted to take a minute to talk about me idea of what this flickr group can be. I would like to build this group into a community were members of the group can share what they are doing, as well as share their expertise more often than once  a month.

Please add any and all photographs that you are proud of to the group pool for everyone to see. In order to foster group participation I ask that you comment on pictures as you add pictures. If you add 6 pictures, then browse through the gallery and comment on 6 pictures you like.

I have also started some discussions that any one can feel free to add to. Right now the permanent discussions are: gear for sale/wanted, and photography links. Browse through the items and articles, and feel free to add whatever you like. Also the discussion section is a perfect opportunity to ask members of the group questions, either about photography in general, or about a specific photograph.

Once again I cannot stress how important it is to get some participation. If everybody just adds their pictures and leaves, this group wont really be of any benefit to any one. So9 please browse the photos and comment on the ones you like. Let them know what elements specifically stand out for you. Also do not be afraid to add some constructive criticism if you have some ideas on how to improve a picture.
