The Power of Light

Start your journey into loving LIGHT and the effect that your lighting will have on your images and the viewers of your images.

Learning to "see" light and understand it's impact on the viewer's perception of your image is very critical to the photographic artist. Once you understand and master this skill you will no longer just be taking snapshots, you will be creating beautiful images.

Using very simple lighting equipment that you can easily duplicate I will discuss and demonstrate the power that light has to create an image. The direction of the light, the intensity, hard vs soft light, the ratio of highlights to shadows, etc. all have a significant effect on your images.

With simple lighting we will explore the power that light has over your images and how the viewer will react to them.

This is a non-shooting evening so you can leave your cameras at home.

Open your eyes and your mind and see the light in front of you.
