What Is Phototraining All About?
PhotoTraining is Meetup Group focused on teaching you various aspects of photography and our focus is a little bit different from other Meetup Groups. We specialize in small class sizes (usually 4-5 people) so you get maximum time with the model and the instructor. Our philosophy is, "The only dumb questions is the one you don't ask." We pride our workshops in having a strong learning element not just an arranged model with people pointing their lenses.

Spearheading PhotoTraining workshops is Trevor Sherwin, an accomplished photographer with 15 years of photography experience. His area of specialty is boudoir, portraiture and fine art. The other element Trevor brings to the table is his background in instructional design and adult education. This is where you will find the learning centric element of our workshops comes from.

Most of the PhotoTraining workshops are hosted at LuxSpace Studios, 9 Davies Ave Studio 401 - 4th floor located near Queen St E & DVP. There is plenty of free street parking too. Now we do get outside and shoot too when the weather is nice.

Have a look at our workshop offering and we hope to see you out at some of our workshops.

"Dropping the clarity softened the picture a bit, but I'm having trouble with the redness on her cheeks. Vibrance doesn't seem to be an option to control with the Adjustment Brush."

"Thanks. That helped. I had already used a Radial Filter over her dress with similar settings, but it needed a little more punch to uncover the details."

"I loved the pose, but did notice the eyes are a bit dark. I did lighten her eyes just a little. No clarity added, but I'll take it down a bit and check it out. I will post a few more soon. It was a great class. Thanks for all the info!"

"This is a great image. All I'd say is that try dropping the clarity 10-20% and use your adjustment brush with the vibrance at -30% to reduce the redness on her cheeks."
