Introduction to Studio Photography - Infant Milestone

Are you interested in studio photography? Not sure where to start? Join me for a fun day of playing in the studio as we cover all of the ins and outs of studio photography.

I have three shooting area that are catered to newborns, children, and a larger shooting area for families/headshots. In addition to these shooting areas I also have a full consultation room where I meet with studio and wedding clients.

In the beginning we'll cover lighting equipment, light modifiers, light metering, white balance, backdrops, seamless paper, reflectors, props etc. Starting your studio can be overwhelming so we'll go over the absolute essentials as well as how to triage purchasing future studio goodies.

As for shooting we'll start with head shots so come prepared for an updated headshot. We'll model for each other as we discuss lighting techniques and posing this will allow you to get comfortable with the lighting equipment. We'll talk about what's on trend currently and how to capture a candid fresh shot filled with personality. A great headshot is vital for your social media presence. I will shoot and edit one headshot for every attendee.

Late Snack and Q&A session Snacks will be provided.

We have the Jackson family who will be joining us for Baby's Violet's first milestone session. She will be 3 months old. You'll have the opportunity to photograph Violet alone as well as family shots. You will be able to use these photos for your portfolio.

Below is a collage of the Jackson's maternity and newborn session. Their milestone will be a continuation of the "Violet" theme. During their session we'll talk about communicating poses, baby safety, and proper lighting. You will leave with beautiful photos for your portfolio in addition to a better understanding of studio photography.
