It's been a few years since a whole episode of the TV series "house" was shot in its entirety on a Canon 5d Mar II. In High Definition. It looked pretty good to.

As a photographer I get asked all the time whether I can shoot video, it's becoming more and more important especially when shooting weddings and musicians in concert.

Until recently I always resisted but then I took some lessons and started shooting video at music festivals last year. I've learned quite a bit from my experience and know how challenging and difficult it can be.

However, if you follow some basic guidelines and avoid a few easy to overcome pitfalls you can shoot great looking video on your DSLR.
