What: Shoot the Night: - Low Light Workshop in Boston

When: Thursday, April 8,[masked]:00 PM

Price: $40.00 per person

South Station
Atlantic Ave & Summer St
Boston, MA 02108

Working in Low Light is a challenge but once you have mastered some simple techniques you can produce stunning night-time images. When done badly it can produce large areas of black or muddy brown with small patches of bright light, or streaks of light where the camera has moved.

Timed so that we get to practice twilight and night-times shots this workshop is a must for those looking to master these techniques.

Suitable for beginner and intermediate photographers, this workshop will take you through the basics of setting up a good low-light shot: we will cover shutter speed, film speed, aperture settings, mirror lock-up, use of tripod, self-timer, shutter release cables and pitfalls to avoid.

Taking advantage of the many interesting opportunities Boston has to offer for night-time photography we will carefully plan and execute shots at different locations around the city, honing our skills while we capture images that will be sure to enhance your portfolio.

We will meet at 7pm and end at approximately 10pm. To keep the workshop manageable and to ensure adequate attention for each particiapant this workshop is being limited to just 6 people.

There will be some moderate walking. Though not essential It would be advantageous if you brought your own tripod.

Cost for the workshop is $40. RSVP to reserve your place.

The workshop leader is professional photographer, Ian Murray.
