Additional Organizer Description: A fun casual ride to discover some of the faster and more technical trails in Bent Creek. This ride is ideal for those riders wanting to ride or move to a bit more challenging group with a moderate increase in speed, distance, and technical challenges. The ride will be made up of more technically challenging trails, have slightly bigger climbs, and cover a greater distance than the Lower Rim Ride but is less challenging than the Upper Rim Ride. The route will vary each week and will be about 2–3 hours in length and cover about 15 miles. No rider will be left behind.
Lights: I've made lights required until we can get in a solid 2 hours of riding in daylight again in spring. Until then I recommend you bring your lights. For those without lights yu can cut the ride a bit shorter and head back to Rice Pinnacle parking when you feel you need. Lights of at LEAST 500 lumens are best.
Because this is a SORBA sanctioned ride all Non-PAS members are required to sign a waiver. Click here to join Pisgah Area Sorba (http://www.pisgahareasorba.org/?page_id=361)
Helmets are required and biking gloves are recommended. Bring along a spare tube, water and snacks for the ride.
Weather permitting , we will be meeting at the Rice Pinnacle Parking Area at 5:45 pm and leave at 6:00 pm so please be on time. Should there be bad weather we will make the call at 4pm and post it here on meetup.
