What title would you like: 'Developer' (want to get involved in a startup), 'Entrepreneur' (want to pitch a startup idea), 'Developer/Entrepreneur' (both)?

Entrepreneur/Patent Agent

[Developer Question] What types of tech development do you do? (languages/frameworks used, software for web, mobile, server, etc.)

N/A

[Developer Question] What kinds of startups are you interested in? (I ask this question because we may try and focus some meetups on certain types of startups)

N/A

[Entrepreneur Question] Are you ready to pitch or will be ready within the next six months?

I am.

[Entrepreneur Question] We're looking for people who are ready to pitch a startup idea. Tell us a little bit about your idea and how much work has gone into it. (No need for sensitive details, just looking to get a sense of how developed the idea is)

The team at SkillRipple has identified the problem of a lack of interaction, collaboration, and communication between students in different departments at a university, and in the larger context, between different universities. While most great businesses were started by multiple people with different skill sets, at a university (of all places), there is no easy way for people with different skill sets to easily connect to work on projects, academic or not. We aim to promote cross department collaboration by providing a clearinghouse for a student to solicit students with the skills he or she needs, where he or she can post projects they are working one, and and where a student can put themselves out into the community as an expert in whatever field they may be an expert in. We have the business plan down and understand most of the website needs to do. We just need to bring the idea to life.

Introduction

My name is Eric Harvey. I am law student from the University of Oregon and I did my undergrad in engineering at CU. I currently do advising and patent prosecution for early stage startups.
