PBU Monthly Meetup

The Pittsburgh Bitcoin Users monthly meetup is an informal gathering of local bitcoin enthusiasts at a local bar.   You'll find lots of interesting discussions, help available for people who are new to bitcoin, and people who are willing to buy/sell/trade with bitcoin.

This is a free event held on the 1st Wednesday of every month.  It's open to the public and anyone is welcome to attend.

Those who would rather not go to a bar and/or aren't 21+ may want to consider attending a quarterly PBU info session instead.  These are held in a more formal setting with speakers/presentations and open discussion.

Looks like I'm not going to have a car, and something else has come up - not going to make it this month :-(

I am getting into bitcoin now, I finally figured out from listening to Andreas Antonopoulos on the Joe Rogan Experience that I didn't need to have a copy of the block chain to receive bitcoin. I also learned that bitcoin thin clients for personal computers now exist so I won't have to worry about the blockchain wasting data usage on my mini-notebook if I do want to send bitcoin.

Too bad nobody told me about it earlier. I will be there on Wednesday Depending on weather I can get enough time to get my clients compiled and USD converted into BTC.
