Have you been wondering what this Hadoop thing is? Look no further! Come to our Meetup to find out what it is; why it exists; what it does; and why you need it!
We will present an overview of Hadoop, the Hadoop Distributed File System (HDFS), MapReduce with Hadoop, and discuss best practices for when to use and Hadoop and when to consider other options.

Attendees of the March 19 meetup will be eligible to partake in our limited-seat workshop on March 20 where you get a personal VM to play with Hadoop.
