SF: Apache Zeppelin Meetup

NOTE: THIS MEETUP IS IN SAN FRANCISCO AT 5:45PM PT.

In this double-header session, we will have three speakers, two from NF Labs that contributes to the core of Apache Zeppelin, and one from Pivotal describing specific plugins for using Apache Zeppelin to interact with Apache HAWQ, Greenplum, PostgreSQL, Apache Geode, and Spring XD.

7:30pm - 8:30pm: Christian Tzolov from Pivotal discussing:

How Zeppelin can be used to integrate data processing tools like HAWQ, Geode and Spring XD into a single unified data processing environment.

• Christian's demo will show how within Zeppelin one can create Spring XD pipelines to ingest live Twitter streams into HDFS and In-Memory and use the Geode/OQL and HAWQ/SQL to access and analyze this data.

• How to install, configure and use the three Zeppelin Plugins: HAWQ/GP,(https://zeppelin.incubator.apache.org/docs/0.5.5-incubating/interpreter/postgresql.html), Geode (https://zeppelin.incubator.apache.org/docs/0.5.5-incubating/interpreter/geode.html) and SpringXD.

• What it takes to build other Apache Zeppelin extensions and plugins.
